Intensive theory course for inland waterways or radio SRC

• Complete training in theory and practice applies only to radio communication, not to inland waterways.
• The Short Range Certificate (SRC) is recognized as an official authorization to operate VHF marine radio services in recreational boating, is internationally valid and indefinitely.
• Applicants aged 16 and over are eligible to take the exam.

SRC course content

• Fundamentals of VHF Radiotelephony
• Equipment knowledge, onboard radio equipment, GMDSS, equipment technology
• Submission and receipt of reports in German and English
• Use of radio equipment in marine emergencies (radio communication during search and rescue)
• Use of the radio in urgent situation (e.g., towing assistance)
• Use of the radio in safety situation (e.g. storm warnings, nautical warnings)
• Use of the radio equipment in routine radio communications (e.g. ship-to-ship, ports, locks)
• Exam content: Translations (German-English/English-German), Practical: Operation of radio equipment & voice communication, Sat. 6-9 pm, Sun. 5-8 pm

Intensive theory course: Lake

• This boat driver’s license is officially prescribed in the area of the German naval routes (3-mile zone) for driving sports boats with a motor starting from 15 hp (11,03 KW), i.e. for almost all yachts.
• Not only the German North Sea or Baltic Sea can be used by the sports boat license Lake, but all the seas, because it is a world-renowned boat guide license.
• Often this appearance is incorrectly referred to as a sailing license, as it is also required for sailing yachts.
• The intensive courses for the Sportbootführerschein See take place in 3 related learning units, in which the necessary theory is conveyed on the basis of the test material and is interrogated at the beginning of a unit.

• Required to run sports boats from 15 hp (11,03 KW), on inland waters with a length limit of up to 15 m and in Berlin for all motor boats
• The SBF lake is officially prescribed in the area of sea shipping roads (salt water, coast), the SBF inland waterways (sweet water).
• A combination intensive course for the sports boat guide tickets inland and lake takes place in 3 related learning units, in which the necessary theory is communicated on the basis of the test material and is interrogated at the beginning of a unit.
