• A skid car is a front-wheel-drive production vehicle that is equipped with 360° rotating industrial swivel casters on the rear axle instead of normal wheels.
• This causes the rear of the vehicle to break away even at low speeds with the slightest steering movement.

Technical facilities

• Computer controlled water fountains to simulate incident obstacles
• Hydraulic plate that can be used to train the recovery of a skidding vehicle.

Note : At the ADAC driving practice park in Olpe, people aged 15 and over can drive cars and motorcycles even without a driver’s license, provided they are accompanied by a person who has held a valid driver’s license for at least one year.
